| Sai Ji, Shahjahan and Dara Shikoh
Shahabuddin Muhammad Shahjahan inherited throne
after Jahangir. He was a dervish nature and a
friendly emperor. When Mian Mir visited Delhi he
was inspired and anxious to meet him up, arrived
Lahore with his son Dara Shikoh. In holy presence
of Mian Mir he got benefited with his prayers and
valuable guidance. After this meeting his
reverence and respect to Mian Mir even more
strengthened.
Second time Shahjahan came to bring sick Dara
Shikoh and requested to pray for him as all
physicians failed to treat him. Dara Shikoh
himself states the circumstances of this meeting
in his famous book "Sakinatul Awliya" in these
words "Hazrat Mian Mir held my hand and taken a
cup (in which Mian Mir himself used to drink
water), filled water and recited a verse and
bestowed me. Merely, in one week my illness
started fading out slightly. I sent a person in
his holy presence to pray for complete recovery.
Mian Mir said on certain date on certain time you
will be complete healed. When that particular date
arrived I hailed miraculously".
One day Shahjahan requested Mian Mir to pray
that my heart should depart from materialistic
world. Mian Mir suggested him to pray for himself
when pleasing an ordinary Muslim and should not
seek else from Allah except Allah. Shahjahan
presented a shawl and a rosary. Mian Mir rejected
shawl and accepted rosary to award a disciple. In
this meeting Shahjahan learnt many lessons of
cognizance but the spiritual devotion of Dara
Shikoh developed under special concentration of
Mian Mir. |
